MERDEKA day without StreamyX

One whole day without internet is really tough.
Doing nothing but watching movies and playing LAN games.
Looks like we MMU students are really used to having internet at our finger tips.
And without them, we have no purpose in life…

The internet connection has recovered just a few minutes ago.
I’m no sure whether it is because of MERDEKA day…

Anyway, Happy Independence Day!!!

Problems with new blog look

It’s really tired editing my new blog layout.
It doesn’t seem to work though.
Guess the new look will just have to wait…
What an unpleasant “reward” after so much work…

Tips on financial management

Tips on how to manage your pocket money:

1. Keep it safe! (If it’s stolen, you won’t have any money to spend!)


2. Budget daily usage


3. Buy things which are needed!


4. Taking Fast-food (McD, KFC or Pizza Hut, etc) is enjoyable… but don’t take it too often, u’ll see yr money spent like drifting water.


5. Those who are driving, do try to minimize yr vehicle usage… try car pooling instead (sharing car…)


6. Do keep some amount of money in case of emergency! (Most important!)


7. Spend more to enjoy and relax after the final exam… It’s a MUST !!!!


8. Try finding the best bargain or price for an item before buying…


9. Spend on minor things will definitely cost u more… like having Coke and tit-bits (sweets, chewing gums, etc)…

Streamyx - In a Mess

Today, Streamyx is very unstable.
The connection will often go on and off.
And the IP obtained is 60.xx.xx.xx
Weird… b’cos usually the IP either starts with 218.xxx.xxx.xx or 219.xxx.xxx.xx

Here’s a tip for u guys…
To get fast connections: u must get IP address that starts with 218.xxx.xxx.xx
Visit here to check yr IP: www.myipnumber.com
If u can’t get that IP, just restart yr modem and let it do the rest…
Repeat a few times until u get that IP…

This method is proven… by me, of course :-P

Applications - My Reminder

I started doing programming since 12... at that time "BASIC" is the only programming language that I've encounter... Well, at that time, I didn't really did any programming... just like to play a game design using that language... Two monkeys throwing banana bombs at each other...

I've now extneded my knowledge of programming to Visual Basic... a more advanced and latest version of BASIC... I've created a lot of application using VB for my own benifits... Like designing reminders, alarm, addressbook, etc... But I didn't really share my programmes to any of my friends...

There's only one that I remember give one of my applications to... but that was not any ordinary program... it's a virus... a virus that consume your hard disk space as you run your computer... But it wasn't really perfect as it cannot spread itself to other computer...

But one of my app got some attention from my friend... "My Reminder"... I created it from the idea of another program which has a trial period... So this program I've created, is like a clone to that app... anyway, feel kinda happy when my program benefits others... ^o^

High Food Pricing

After petrol price raises to RM 1.52 per littler, every thing else in the country becomes even more expensive... including those in Bkt Beruang... During this period, all the restorant and food stalls raised their price too... I'm not saying raising prices are bad, but please do consider us students... We have little pocket money (not including those whose are RICH!!!)... So as we spent for our food, tuition fees, HP reloads, petrol (those with a car), "balik kampung bus tickets", etc... we have not much left... Some restaurants even raise 50 cents for all their dishes... and a single Salad Chicken Rice can cost up to RM 5.00.

I think that we students should practice our rights... and we should all voicot those restaurants that put such high pricing... Some of you might say "I can't live without tasting the food there!"... well, fine... then just try to visit THAT restaurant less often... At least that can help a little... (Dun underestimate a single individual's power!)... If this TREND do continue, then we might expect to have a Black Pepper Chicken Rice at RM 6 within a year... b'cos the petrol price are bound to raise again!
