My classmate is a Korean Actor ???!!!!

As Korean Drama is getting more and more popular in Malaysia, TV stations like 8TV and NTV7 are broadcasting Korean dramas every night... there's that Korean Drama: Lover in Paris showing on NTV7 which started recently...

It was around 12pm where I just woke up from my piggy sleep, and found out my sister is watching a Korean Drama.... Lover in Paris... I never watch that drama before b'cos of the recent rush to campus for revision... so there's was I laying at the sofa, still half-asleep... and suddently I saw an actor in that drama that looks like one of my classmate... I was thinking wat the hell??? then I rub my eyes and watch more closely... the actor in that drama really resembles my classmate, T.S...

Here's the picture of the actor which I got from a forum....
(P.S: those who know T.S., pls look at these pictures)

Wrong Assumption Towards StreamyX Speedometer

I think I made a mistake in determining my bandwidth with StreamyX Speedometer which I posted a few day ago... the speedometer is actually correct... as said in my previous post, the "bandwidth" I assumed is actually the filesize StreamyX used to check the bandwidth... The actual bandwidth is in the 2nd column of the result table... haha ^_^" sorry of any inconvinient caused!!!!

Kissing Behind Your Back

I came across this picture while I'm surfing!!! Check it out!

Really should be careful whether your loved ones is KISSING BEHIND YOUR BACK!

Wish List: Nokia 3230

NOKIA 3230... my dream phone... equipped with 1.3 Megapixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio (this is wat I really need), video recording and playback, realistic mobile games, Symbian OS (can install software...hahaha...)

Wat I wanted was Nokia 7610, but it doesn't have the FM radio function and the camera resolution is only 1.0 Megapixel... however, according to my friend, the processing speed for 7610 is better than 3230.... well, I personally think that is not a major problem... ^_^

Well... I've been planning to buy 7610 for around 1 year... but still doesn't have the $$$... and now... as the price of smartphone gets lower... I might be able to get one... and this is the phone that I really want!!!

StreamyX Speedometer: Are you getting wat you paid for ???

Damn! feel like being cheated by StreamyX...!!!! I did a bandwidth test at Internet Frog (http://www.internetfrog.com/mypc/speedtest/) and found out my bandwidth is: 102 kbps download and 209 kbps upload... ok.. that's normal to get below 512 kbps bandwidth b'cos I subcribe to StreamyX 512 kbps package!

OK... now here comes the problem! I proceed by heading to StreamyX website (www.streamyx.com.my) and use their SPEEDOMETER (http://202.188.95.52:8080/speedometer/), also a bandwidth speed test! We are required to set our location to ping, package that we've subcribed, and bandwidth to test (either download, upload, or both)...

First I've selected 512 kbps, download and upload test from CyberJaya...

This is the results! 100% bandwidth... WOW!

OK! next I tried the same settings but I've changed to 1 Mbps test!

I was suprised for wat I get from the results! Incredible that I can get 1 Mbps bandwidth with 512 Kbps package! StreamyX is giving us customers a very nice service!

Then I tried to verify by testing using the 2 Mbps Coperate Line setting!

Wat can I say ???!!! I get 2 Mbps bandwidth ?????!!!! WAT THE HELL ???!!! Damn! At once I thought of StreamyX SPEEDOMETER is a tool to convince StreamyX users that they provide the BEST service in Malaysia... well... check it out! They are trying to deceive us!

So, to verify once more... I returned to Internet Frog to test my bandwidth... Wat I get is somewhere around 100 to 105 Kbps download and 200 to 210 Kbps... So...??? is TMNET trying to fool us or wat ? They are trying to make fun of us customers by having their so called SPEEDOMETER to make us think we have wat we paid for! So... pls check your bandwidth at StreamyX using 3 different bandwidth settings and at Internet Frog!

Support the competitors or producers ?

Malaysian Idol! Does it sound familiar? Yup. This programme is well-known in Malaysia... still remember when I first saw William Hung's "performance" in American Idol! He's Unbelievable!

Anyway, now the programme turns into an SMS voting competition... all u need to do is just to SMS vote to your favorite idol (or the idol vote for themselves...) and they can even have 2 shows in a week... WHY ? it's because the money all the voters are spending for them... so is it for the competitors or for the producers ???

Each SMS vote cost 50 cents... let say there's 10 contestants, and each can get at least 100 votes... either from their friends or family members... so that makes them earn.. erm... RM500.00 per week... and I believe that the votes won't be this little... so.. i guess they earn about RM 10000.00 per week... so if the programme continues for 3 months... erm.. that's 12 weeks... they'll earn around RM 120000.00... this amount is just the minimum profit... Imagine... I think I also wanna do an Idol show of my own... There's really a lot of reality show (that's wat they call it...) starting to emerge and the way to give your "support" is to SMS vote... some SMS vote even go as high as RM 1.50 per SMS... WOW! that's why Maxis and Digi is making hell a lot of money!

Study Week!!! (@;@)

One week of study really makes a person lose his temper... Imagine, having to wake up 11 in the morning after an 6 hours sleep... prepare to go campus for revision... arriving in campus at 1pm... study until 5 or 6 pm... go home rest and take shower... 7pm dinner... 8 pm study in campus again! straight up to 1 or 2 am... WAT A LIFE!!!!

Been hanging out in campus more often then usual... b'cos of the final exam... durign the previous study week... I'm not really that motivated to go to campus for revision... Wat brings me there is the assistance that I can get from my friends and lecturers when I'm lost... That will save me a lot of time thinking of wat the hell is that formula or phase about!!!!

Where is the lecturer when u need one ? There's a lecturer of mine who is on leave for the whole study week... when us students needed she the most... We have no choice but to consult other lecturers... not for my subject...

Previously, I thought doing revision in a crowded place will have many distractions... making us not able to study... but after the KFC "incident" (refer previous article), I've found out that it is not a problem to study in somewhere crowded... especially in our Plaza Siswa Food Court...

"That's where I want to be..."

Anyone ever do revision in Fastfood Restaurants, such as KFC... haha ^_^ I just did... having to take my studies there is not easy... u WILL attract ATTENTIONS! especially those who is taking the meals there! even the staff there will think: "wat the hell is that guy studying here..!!???" well, honestly, I did attract some attention, for sure... a Pepsi with French Fries is wat keeps me from being thrown out of KFC... if u could focus and pay attention to wat u r doing, u can really accomplish wat is impossible... haha... ^o^ sounds like the Mission Impossible slogan...

"KFC, that's where I want to be..." this is wat I heard there! This KFC theme song dates back to my primary school days. Suprisingly, I still hear it, no where else but there!

Dirt Water Shower

Ever tried taking yr refreshing shower at a summer hot afternoon... and suddenly the water u use to shower turns into dirt-brown water... that's wat I've experienced in Bkt Beruang this few months... and I'm not the only one that suffers from this EXPERIENCE... most of the residents in Bkt Beruang share the same experience...

Try taking shower with this water... try having the water into yr washing machine... definately yr white colour clothes will be dyed black instantly.... maybe some of u think that it'll be only for a while when the "clean" water is supplied.. at first, I'm one of u optimistic guys... but after almost 2 months having shower half-way and discovering that I'm actually soaking in dirt water... I think it's not any regular piping maintainance by PAM (Perbadanan Air Melaka)... and they say clean water will be supplied to us... yeah right! and when is the water is perfectly CLEAN ?

Mid Autumn Festival

Mid Autumn festival... The season to have moon cake and lanterns... Really miss the old days where a group of friends played with lanterns... Some of u may think it's childish, but not to me... I would like to play lanterns if there's company... Sad to say, I din see any children playing lanterns in my resident area (hometown) anymore... Is it b'cos of other entertainments that is more attractive ? Or I'm the one who missed it all ???

Another PROBLEM with the 8th month in the lunar calendar is... getting a lot of SAMANS... Yes, tickets... not for speeding, not for parking in the wrong side of the road, but for wedding dinner... Yup! those red samans will definately cos u bucks... Hundred bucks... I've gone to two already in two weeks... and there's another coming... Well, luckily, I'm not the one whose paying for it.. (glad!!!) I'm just a representative for my family... haha... ^o^ but still, attending the wedding dinner will really make anyone get gastric... Why? I suppose all the CHINESE out there know the reasons... LATE LATE LATE... It's written the diner will start at 7pm... but still, they manage to delay it and not starting before 8... pity my stomach...

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Child

Ever wonder how fast pace a combat may be? Just watch this movie! Final Fantasy VII: Advent Child... I've been waiting for this movie for months... and now... it's finally here! Most of the cast are from the original FF VII game... although I didn't really played that game! Yaks! :-P But still, I found a character in the movie that I'd really like... TIFA... I didn't realise how beautiful she is in the game.. but in the movie, she's like WOW! Gorgeous... As for Cloud... he needs to do more facial treatment though...

Any way.. The combat part is really amazing... Really nice effects... from hand to hand combat to sword fights... and unbelievable motorbike combats!!! U should see this... can say "Tata" to those superbikes! They are no match for those in the movies... They can really do amazing stuns.. can even jump from bike to bike during a fight... haha ^_^" better get one of those cool bikes...

The storyline continues after FF VII the game... but the story telling isn't that clear... need to have a bit of imagination to figure it out... It is, well, overall a movie that is really worth watching...

Can't really capture the combat scenes.. they are to fast... :-P

Refrigarator & Handphone

Imagine... A refrigarator and a handphone...
One tiny, u carry it around everytime u leave yr house, u play with it... hold it for at least 6 hours per day...
Another, u leave it at home, bulky, keeping all yr food and drinks cool (freezing...) BEST in keeping u throughout the hot summer day!!!.

One huge and the other tiny! Ironic is it ?

But DID YOU KNOW...??? both of them cost around RM 1500.
It's amazing how those 2 thing can cost the same...

Let's see.. the handphone: multiple functions... includes phone calling, sms, mms, mobile games, photo taking, music playing, movie viewing, music editing, GPRS & internet surfing... etc...
And the frige ? well, just to keep yr thing cool and freezing...

So, there we have it! The tiny handphone for its functionality, and the bulky fridge for its one and only function... keep things cool...

Self Hosted Blogging

I never thought of self hosting blog will only cost RM15 annually...
A friend told me about how he hosted his blog site with a minimal payment of RM 15.
In addition, he also found free SQL software to "transform" his site into a fabulous blog site.
His site is also similar to Blogger, where I am currently blogging at.

I'm really amazed by all the pictures and photos in his blog site.
He must have invested a lot of effort in his blog. It's just like a pro's work...
Can't imagine blogging can be made so alive.

Here's the site I'm talking about:

Night Classes !!!

Having night class it's frustrating... Moreover having it after my fluid exam... (consider as the next day)
need to rush on everything to attend the night class (starts at 8 pm)...

Just finish my Eng maths tutorial night class... It's an extra class given to follow the pace... cos the tutor in this group is a bit left out... I'm actually not from this group, but I like to attend tutorial by this tutor. He gave detail and summaries clearly... He's also quite friendly... Maybe his age is quite similar to ours, so we can cope with each other and he understands more what we students need... AND b'cos of that also, he is proceeding quite slow in his class... But I prefer my understandings to the subject more than the time taken to complete them...

Very exhausted after a whole day full with classes and revisions....

Here's a photo taken in the night class...

Sleeping late ??? BATMAN !!!!

Does university students sleep after 12am ???
The answer is YES in MMU... and the reasons are: yam cha (drink tea), play PC games, watch football, and last but no least STUDY (only when exam is around the corner)
This is not only happening in MMU, but also other IPTA/IPTS...

Well, I'm one of them too... when I just step in MMU, it was a totally different story...
Getting on bed on 11pm... wake up at around 8-10 am (if there's no class)...
That was wat my life style was... But now... I would have to someties FORCE myself to sleep at early hours...
Not to mention having a PC in my room... A major distraction...

I seldom go out for yam cha... maybe once or twice a week...
But I prefer EARLY yam cha... that would end before 1am...

Therefore, now I have to join study group to keep myself out of my room, especially away from my PC in order to let me concentrate on my revision... I'm not sure about others, but I can't really focus if I have a PC beside me. Moreover, food (tit-bits) is there in my room and refrigerator... For every 15 mins of study, I will give myself a 10 mins break for tit-bits or PC...

Dusk in Bkt Beruang

Here's a few pictures of dusk in Bkt. Beruang taken using my HP...

PC Problem

I went back to my hometown this weekend, bring along my PC...
and the weird thing was, it always had problems when I bring it back to my hometown.
My PC will auto-restart or hang without any reason (not that I know of).
I've tried to fix it, but it was not successful... Those problems doesn't occur when I was in Bkt Beruang... I'm not sure whether any of the hardware is damage. I've tried every possible method to find out the cause. I've exchanged my RAMs and display card with my housemate, unplug the CDRom drives, re-configure my BIOS settings, Windows Settings, Display Driver, etc...
But nothing seems to help... The problem is a type that goes on and off without any warning. So I may end up having my whole report that I was doing the whole day, gone right in front of my eyes.

Really fed up with this problem... Can anyone there help ???

Leftout in studies...

It’s week 12 already… time really files…
Final exams are coming near, and… I haven’t really did anything to prepare for it.
Just studied one subject, Applied Dynamics…

My weekend is filled with lab report, assignment, and projects.
I haven’t even study for the final exams… haha ^_^”
Mechanics of Material is one subject that I haven’t really touched…
Just understand first 2 chapters…
Have to really start digging into this subject…
